The Pleasure of Eating at Magnum Manila!

I remember those days when Magnum was so famous that anyone who holds  it becomes a "royalty" in an instant (lol!). I don't know if it's just because of a great advertising or Magnum really is a great ice cream.Years had passed and now, Magnum has its Pleasure Store in Manila that brought the spark again for all the pleasure lovers and die-hard magnum fans.



The place is Purely Magnum with its Big Magnum Posters installed on the walls, the Banaue Rice Terraces and its own logo composed of thousands of Magnum sticks.



You can just drop by to experience pleasure with their Make your own Magnum for P100. From your choice of Magnum Vanilla or Chocolate up to the toppings, dips and drizzles...everything's up to you.
But if you want a more pleasurable experience, you can dine in, try anything on their savory menu and have their plated desserts.

Cajun Spiced Chicken Poppers (P180) - Buttermilk brined Chicken Fillets with white bacon gravy and spiced honey.

Oh my!I started scouting for buttermilk chicken after this! These big chicken chunks definitely made my day =)



Magnum Burger (P400) - This 1/3 pound wagyu burger is totally an easy pleasure as the meat easily breaks into your mouth with all the juices and flavors. =)



Carbonara with Cocoa dusted Bacon and Sous Vide Egg (P320) - "Spaghetti tossed in parmesan, bacon and cream. Crowned with a 60 degree cooked organic egg and crisp bacon.

The idea of Carbonara and Egg was really new for me. I thought it wouldn't work but the yolk added a good amount creaminess to the pasta. The flavor was a bit light and that's when the bacon comes in.



My most awaited part was the dessert (Of course, this is MAGNUM Manila...). We had their Cookie Dough Skillet (P280) - it was freshly baked when it was layed on our table... I can't explain my happiness as I had a bite of the warm cookie dough with melted dark chocolate on the center plus another bite on the vanilla magnum!



Surely this isn't a day lost as Magnum Manila brought pleasure right in our own table. Can't wait to try all their plated desserts!

The Cake Club by Diamond Hotel

The Cake Club by Diamond Hotel is one of the promising dessert places along BGC as they redefine cakes to be  more luxuriant and sophisticated. Also, they make sure that cakes and wines doesn't only rhyme as words as they offer wine pairings for their signature cakes.

As one of Philippine's Best Restaurants for 2013.

The place is quite enough for 20 people dining at the same time but it was just us when we got there. 

Since we had our lunch at 'Cue, we were straightforward  to having just desserts and I passed it all to Mimi since she's the one craving for something sweet.

We had their most raved about Supermoist Chocolate Cake (P280) - I don't know if this is still to be called a cake because it was like pure, rich chocolate with thin disc layers of the actual cake. =) 

Salted Caramel and Supermoist Chocolate Ice cream (2 scoops of your choice for P150)  - We fell in love with the salted caramel instantly! It's so addictive.=)

Dinner Buffet at Vikings!

It's my 23rd Birthday and I'm back at Vikings! Wasn't able to take photos last year because I was pigging out the whole time and the next thing I knew is that lunch time is over.

This time, I managed to take shots on some of the foods we've tried. And as we all knew, buffet is just to fill and blow our stomachs up but our sense of taste is barely contented.

Dinner Buffet costs P888 (+service charge) per person and starts at 6:30 pm up to 10:00 pm. If you're celebrating something special then might as well reserve seats a week before. Nobody wants to wait when they're hungry...or that is just applicable with me?=) btw, they still have their Birthday Promo. You're free of charge on your birthday (must celebrate there at the same day) as long as you have 1 paying adult to accompany you. Just bring a valid I.D. with your birthday printed on it.

This is really a Feast if you would actually think but we can't keep it all in our tummy all at the same time..It would help if you would only have your "targets" for the night.

Sushi Haven. Vikings have a wide selection of sushi and all of them were really pleasing!

GRILLED SECTION. The kebab and steak were my favorites! the dissapointing parts here are the ribs, lechon and turkey..almost impossible to eat and it's like its been heated for the nth time!

Might wanna mess up and use your hands with these..Shrimps and baked oysters were also available!

It is proven that seaweeds are always better in chinese restos.=(
